Drupchos

Rigdzin Dupa Drupcho -January 28-February 4, 2010

Dechen Gyalmo Drupcho - October 5-12, 2010
Phuntsok Choling, Ward, CO

Twice a year Mangala Shri Bhuti hosts a Drupcho, or group offering practice, led by Kongtrul Rinpoche. In the drupchos, we practice the guru or dakini sadhanas from the Longchen Nyingthik tradition, namely the Rigdzin Dupa or Dechen Gyalmo sadhana. The focus of these practice intensives is on accumulating 100,000 tsok offerings, through the feast practice portion of the liturgies by the MSB students collectively. The merit, or positive intention and action, of the drupcho is dedicated to world peace, the longevity of masters who are teaching in the world, greater compassion towards all beings, genuine spiritual progress on the path, and harmony both within the sangha and the larger community of Buddhist practitioners, as well as throughout the world.

The intimate environment of a drupcho is a precious opportunity to be in the presence of the teacher's bodhicitta. To make prayers and aspirations alongside his, in the spirit of compassion and wisdom that he embodies, is a profound and often life-changing experience. The drupchos are open to formal MSB sangha members who have gone through the Sangha Ceremony.  Kongtrul Rinpoche has asked that practitioners of other traditions or sanghas who wish to attend send an email formally requesting to attend. The email should state who you are, where you come from, and who your teacher is. This formal request to attend is required before registering.

In addition we request that you send your letter of request early as space is limited, and most importantly, after the program begins we will not be able to accept new attendees.

Please send your email to the CO Heads of the Dharmarakcha Department:

dharmarakcha@mangalashribhuti.org.

They will contact you to let you know the request has been received. Thank you.
