Mangala Shri Bhuti has the great fortune to host different teachers of the Nyingma Lineage. These visits are an opportunity for students to enrich their view, practice and understanding of the Longchen Nyingthik, through receiving teachings, empowerments and blessings. September 2006
We were delighted to host a visit by Venerable Khandro Rinpoche this past fall.



 

May 2004
The seventh Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche visits Phuntsok Choling to bestow the abhishekas of the Three Roots of His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Rabjam Rinpoche is the grandson and spiritual heir of His Holiness. His life's work is to carry out the vision and activities of His Holiness, including overseeing the many activities of the Shechen organization and caring for Shechen monastery in Nepal and Tibet.


June 2004
Neten Chokling Rinpoche visits Colorado and bestows the Kutsap Abhisheka on retreatants at Samten Ling and the sangha at Phuntsok Choling. Chokling Rinpoche is the fourth reincarnation of the great treasure revealer Terton Chokgyur Lingpa, who along with Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, Patrul Rinpoche and Jamgon Kongtrül Lodro Thaye started the rimé, or non-sectarian, movement, in Tibet. He is also the reincarnation of Kongtrul Rinpoche's father, Pema Gyurme, the 3rd Neten Chokling Rinpoche. A Kutsap is a representation of Guru Rinpoche, made by Guru Rinpoche himself and hidden for future discovery.


July 2004
Tsokyni Rinpoche teaches a weekend on the Nature of Mind in the tent at Phuntsok Choling. Tsoknyi Rinpoche III was recognized by His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa as the reincarnation of Drubwang Tsoknyi Rinpoche I. He is a renowned master of the Drukpa Kagyu and Nyingma traditions and the lineage holder of the Ratna Lingpa Lineage and the Tsoknyi Lineage.


August 2004
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche visits Phuntsok Choling to participate in a lhasang with Kongtrul Rinpoche and address the sangha.



September 2004
Sogyal Rinpoche, spiritual head of Rigpa, visits Phuntsok Choling. Born in Kham in Eastern Tibet, Sogyal Rinpoche was recognized as the incarnation of Lerab Lingpa Terton Sogyal, a teacher to the thirteenth Dalai Lama, by Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, one of the most outstanding masters of the twentieth century. Jamyang Khyentse supervised Rinpoche's training and raised him like his own son. In Sogyal Rinpoche's address to the sangha, he emphasized devotion, and the rare circumstances of meeting a teacher and being able to study with him and serve his vision.
