Mangala Shri Bhuti Europe

The Mangala Shri Bhuti community in Europe

Mangala Shri Bhuti Europe is a community of around 25 formal students from 10 different countries. Internet access and technology tools enable students to remain in touch, to study and practice together, as well as to support one another. As a growing sangha that is widely dispersed geographically, we highly value the times when we are able to be in each other’s company. Online bi-monthly tsok practices, Wheel Day celebrations, lineage training courses and study groups - as well as offline events, such as mid-year gatherings and summer programs with Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche - serve to deepen our connection to one another and to the Dzogchen Longchen Nyingthik lineage over time.

The vision for Europe

During Kongtrul Rinpoche’s teachings in 2015, he expressed his affinity with the land and people of the “Noble Land of Ireland,” and his wish that MSB Europe explore the possibility of setting up a European dharma center there. MSB Europe had been an online Mangalam for several years, and two of Kongtrul Rinpoche’s students have been sharing and hosting his teachings in Bohatch since 2010.

We now have the opportunity to take the next step and begin manifesting Rinpoche’s greater vision for Europe, putting down roots in the Irish soil for our lineage to flourish and become available for all those with a connection to it. Finding a suitable home for MSB Europe will take some time: the land has to be explored and walked, and fundraising has to happen.
