March 8, 2014 - March 2, 2014 marked Losar, the new year, within the Tibetan calandar, welcoming in the year of the Wood Horse. It is a Tibetan tradition to gather on losar morning at monasteries to offer katas, white offering scarves, and new year's greetings to the Lamas.
