with Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche

The Sanctuary at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

According to the Buddhist teachings, all people and animals, no matter what they look like or how they behave, possess at their core a deeply loving, tender heart. The power of fear and confusion may keep this heart temporarily closed and dark, but it is always present within, ready to open up and spread its warmth to the world. This innately caring and compassionate heart, known in Tibetan as tsewa, is the subject of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche’s new book, Training in Tenderness. In this teaching, Rinpoche will help us become better acquainted with the experience of tsewa and teach us how the entire path to enlightenment begins and ends with our own warm heart.
